Results – 04/12/2021
Men’s 1 v Burton 2 – W 7-1
A great game played with only 11 players and some great enthusiasm on the pitch. Bloss were up just 1-0 at half time but the second half we stormed into the lead, eventually winning 7-1!
Scorers – Ed x3, Oli x2, Aamer x2
Man of the Match - Harry M

Men’s 2 v West Bromwich 2 – L 6-1
MoM: Keith W
Scorer: Sam J
Losing 2-0 going into half time. West Brom score another after the break but Bloss respond to make it 3-1. We then lost our shape a bit. Game finished 6-1.

Men’s 3 v Kings Heath Pickwick 2 – W 4-3
Another great win for the 3s against a decent Kings Heath team with goals from Jack Seifas, Phil Shoreson and 2 from Mike Inns

Ladies’ 1 v Burton 1 – L 1-0

Ladies’ 2 v Berkswell & Balsall Common 1 – D 1-1

Ladies’ 3 v Olton & West Warwickshire 5 – L 0-4

Message from John Shack – Main Club Chairman
The Club’s new cleaners have pointed out that they are having to clear a significant amount of sand from the Clubhouse floors and that it is potentially causing problems with degradation of the wooden flooring. The cause is related to the passage of members wearing hockey Astro boots and/or tennis court footwear (particularly if you have played on Courts 3 or 4).

We have always had a rule that outside sports footwear that is muddy/ spiked/ dirty etc should be changed before entering the Clubhouse and we would ask please that with immediate effect Tennis/Hockey members should remove such ‘contaminated’ footwear before entering the main Club area.

Liz and her team will be enforcing this rule so if you don’t have alternative shoes as a matter of course, please remember to bring some with you or you may not be allowed entry!

England Hockey Games Management System
At last the England Hockey Games Management System is almost up and running and they have now finally opened up Player registration.
Soon we will be returning to inputting match sheets on this GMS system so we need everyone to register. If you aren't registered, you CANNOT play.

This is going to be quite a large task for us to get everyone registered so please start registering yourself as soon as possible.

Everyone that plays in a Men's team or Ladies' team needs to register as soon as possible to allow me time to Approve everyone and get you all set up so that you can be put onto match sheets when England Hockey start enforcing them. We do not need any fines
How are juniors managed e.g. through purely parental registration for all U18s or is there a lower age limit as the CM providers have? - Any young person under the age of 18 is considered a junior and will need parents/ guardians to register their accounts. These junior accounts will be linked to the parents/guardian’s one, as a point in principle to comply with Safeguarding Regulations. Once they turn 18, they can take direct control of their account.
