Bloss made an extremely strong start, dominating play in the first half with a good team performance, passing the ball round their opposition well. Their efforts paid off when Emily Terrazas-Cruz linked up with Becky Craig to win a short corner, and Vicki Shuter's strike put the home team in the lead. Ashby came back strong with a number of chances and short corners, some excellent saves from Bloss keeper Ollie White keeping the home team in the lead at half time.
